Lettera inviata da Bologna il 16 aprile 1836, che contiene una lunghissima disquisizione su esemplari del genere Sinapis. Sono presenti ulteriori osservazioni sul genere Verbascum e la richiesta a De Notaris di controllarne gli esemplari dell’erbario Biroli. Bertoloni avverte di avere spedito il fascicolo quarto del secondo tomo della Flora. Chiede se De Candolle padre, da tempo gravemente ammalato, è ancora vivo. Comunica la morte, probabilmente già nota di Mauri.
