Lettera inviata da Firenze il 12 luglio 1845. Parlatore ha mandato a De Notaris le copie del Giornale, da spedire a Torino per Moris, Colla e Delponte, oltre a quella da fare avere a De Candolle. Sta lavorando sulle Graminacee; pensa sia un lavoro utile, nonostante la Synopsis del carissimo ed egregio cavalier Gussone. Sull’argomento, la Flora Dalmatica [di Roberto De Visiani] gli è parsa opera scadente. A metà agosto Parlatore sarà per qualche giorno a Palermo: una rimpatriata! Il 18 o il 19 settembre sarà a Napoli per il Congresso degli Scienziati. Spera di incontrare Moris, assieme a Gussone e Tenore, per fare un po’ di chiasso e una mangiata di maccheroni. Se Moris viene a Napoli, Parlatore lo assicura che verrà con lui a Parigi e vi starà 2 o 3 mesi.
