Lo scrivente confessa a Moris di avere venduto per bisogno tutti i suoi libri di botanica, però è ancora appassionato di piante e non ha strumenti per determinarle. Chiede a Moris se potesse fargli avere qualche libro di botanica che a lui non serve.
