Moris avrà saputo della “pettinatura” che De Notaris ha fatto a Risso, sperando che in avvenire non “si imbratti più la scienza con simili sudicerie”. De Notaris descrive per l’Accademia un nuovo genere di Lichen, da pubblicare rapidamente, perché Montagne e Durieu gli hanno già rubato, pubblicando le crittogame di Algeri, alcune belle specie. A Genova si parla di dividere la Materia Medica dalla Medicina Legale. Il nuovo professore potrebbe essere De Visiani o Parodi. Sarebbe urgente costruire una nuova serra per il giardino.
