Lettera autografa intestata “Sesta Riunione degli Scienziati Italiani” inviata da Milano il 18 novembre 1844 dal segretario Carlo Bassi, il quale chiede un parere sul da farsi riguardo a un problema postogli dal signor Trevi. Il nome di quest’ultimo negli atti della Riunione degli Scienziati precede quello di Cesati. Secondo Trevi il nome di Cesati dovrebbe precedere il suo, dato l’enorme divario scientifico esistente tra le due persone.
