Lettera inviata da Firenze il 23 ottobre 1843. Parlatore ringrazia Moris che gli ha spedito una cassa di belle piante. Nel frattempo Parlatore gli ha mandato una cassa contenente piante secche di Sicilia e un pacco da fare avere a De Candolle per Reuter e Boissier. Ha anche spedito, tramite Pietro Savi, 10 copie delle lezioni a Genova per De Notaris, che le farà avere a Moris. Parlatore sta lavorando sull’anatomia di alcune piante acquatiche osservate al microscopio; lo scriverà in francese, per pubblicarlo all’Istituto di Francia. Link, di passaggio a Firenze, ha apprezzato la ricerca. Parlatore spera di vedere presto il secondo volume di Flora Sardoa. Antinori e Cencio Ricasoli salutano Moris.
